Die Weingüter von Samos

Dieser Abschnitt richtet sich vor allem an Weinkenner und Weinliebhaber sowie an diejenigen, die sich für Weinverkostungen und den Besuch von Weingütern einer Region interessieren, und insbesondere der Weingüter der Insel Samos, wo die Sorte „weißer Muskateller“ 98 % des samischen Weinbergs ausmacht. Auf Samos sind 7 Weingüter in Betrieb. Die Winzergenossenschaft (EOS) Samos besitzt zwei große Kellereien, eine in Malagari und eine in Karlovasi. In Karlovasi und der weiteren Umgebung befinden sich auch die Weingüter Nopera, Vakakis und Kostaki. Das kleine Weingut der Familie Eleftheriou befindet sich im Bergdorf Stavrinides. Im Zentrum von Samos, in Mytilinioi, befindet sich das Weingut Chatziioannou. Das Weingut Coutsodontis liegt in Marathokampos. In der Gegend von Vourliotes kann man die „unterirdischen“ Weinverkostungsanlagen „Liknon“ Metaxas besuchen.

Der Besucher kann seine Tour in Norden und Süden der Insel aufteilen und alle Weingüter sowie das Weinmuseum besichtigen, nachdem er mit den Betreibern der Weingüter einen Termin vereinbart hat. Es ist sinnvoll, pro Besuch ausreichend Zeit einzuräumen, um an einer Verkostung der samischen Weine teilzunehmen.

Kellerei der Winzervereinigung von Samos (E.O.S.), Karlovasi

Die Hauptkellerei der Winzervereinigung von Samos (E.O.S.) befindet sich in Karlovasi an der Straße Konstantinou Kanari.
Die Kellerei verfügt über moderne Anlagen zur Anlieferung, Weinbereitung, Alterung und Abfüllung.
In der Nähe des Gebäudes der Hauptkellerei, in privaten Räumlichkeiten der Winzervereinigung von Samos (E.O.S.), wird eine Destillationsanlage für Schnaps aus Muskateller errichtet. Mit der Fertigstellung der Destillationsanlage wird es dort auch Räumlichkeiten für Degustationen geben.

Kellerei Coutsodontis, Marathokambos

Die Familienkellerei COUTSODONTIS WINERY wurde 2016 gegründet und liegt in Marathokambos an der Regionalstraße nach Agii Theodori. Sie produziert in kleinem Rahmen und mit nur sehr geringen technologischen Eingriffen hergestellte Samierweine, wofür traditionelle Keltermethoden gewählt werden, um das reiche Aroma und den intensiven Geschmack des Muskatellers zur Geltung zu bringen. Es handelt sich um ein von zwei Brüdern mit Önologiestudium gegründetes Familienunternehmen, wobei vor den beiden schon der Vater als Önologe tätig gewesen war.
Die Besucherinnen und Besucher der Kellerei können nach Voranmeldung eine geführte Weinverkostung erleben, die drei verschiedene von dieser Kellerei hergestellte Weine beinhaltet.

Kellerei und Weinberg von Chatziioannis, Mytilinii

Die Chatziioannis-Kellerei liegt an der Stelle namens Rizovrachos und wurde 2019 in Mytilinii von Georgios Chatziioannis und seinen beiden Söhnen, Themistoklis und Evangelos, gegründet, die den Weinbau weiterentwickeln und sich außerdem für die Herstellung trockener Weißweine und natursüßer Weine aus weißem Samos-Muskateller engagieren. Die Anlagen können (nach vorheriger Buchung) besichtigt werden und liegen innerhalb eines der Weinberge der Familie.

Kellerei Kostakis

In der Nähe der Kellerei Vakakis liegt, etwa 600 Meter davon entfernt, die Kellerei Kostakis. Es handelt sich um die jüngste Kellerei auf Samos, deren erste Weinlese 2023 stattfand. Die Kellerei Kostakis konzentriert sich auf die Rebsorte Muscat à Petits Grains Ronds (weiß und rot), aus der verschiedene Weine hergestellt werden sollen. Die Trauben stammen ausschließlich aus den eigenen Bioweingärten.
Die Kellerei Kostakis ist ein Gebäude mit moderner Architektur und steht Besucherinnen und Besuchern nach vorheriger Buchung offen. Dort können Sie zusammen mit den Weinen der Insel den wunderbaren Blick auf den sehr gründen Westteil von Samos genießen.

Kellerei Vakakis

Die Kellerei Vakakis befindet sich im Gebiet von Megali Lakka, Kondeika. Die Gegend liegt 4 Kilometer südlich der Stadt Karlovasi, erreichbar über die Regionalstraße Karlovasi–Platanos,die am Dorf Kondeika vorbeiführt. In der Kellerei kann der Gast die riesigen Weintanks besichtigen, wo die Anlieferung, Weinbereitung und Abfüllung von Samos-Weinen stattfindet, sowie auch die linearen Bioweingärten, wo die Rebsorten Muscat Samos, Assyrtiko, Fokiano, Avgoustiatis und Moschato Mavro angebaut werden, wodurch die eine Zeit lang fehlende Rebsorte in den Fokus rückte.
Außerdem kann er die Ausstellungsräume mit volkskundlichen Ausstellungsstücken besichtigen, die in einem restaurierten traditionellen Gebäude von 1920 untergebracht sind. Dort werden auch Weinverkostungen vorgenommen, während im Freilicht-Amphitheater zeitweise verschiedene Kulturveranstaltungen stattfinden.
