Metaxa Liknon is the new home of the House of Metaxa on the island of Samos, in the village of Vourliotes. It is a model organic vineyard with 100 years old vines, on the slopes of Mount Ampelos.

The special architectural design, focusing on the traditional dry-stone terraces and terraces of Samos, makes the house of Metaxa more of a landscape than a special building within the area of a vineyard. It extends the terraces with the dry-stone walls of the vineyard, incorporating into the natural landscape a series of cave houses that on the one hand are submerged in the earth and on the other hand gaze at the green slopes of the area.

The area, which also functions as a museum of the Metaxa brand, is a functional vineyard with small-berry vines, which are traditionally harvested by hand, being a model of organic farming that fully respects the environment. In this way, Metaxa brand lays the foundations for a green future with respect to nature that does not exhaust the land and does not reach its limits for the sake a larger production.

Walking through Liknon is an interactive experience that works both educationally and entertainingly. During the tour, the visitor comes into contact with the roots of  Metaxa brand, learns the history of the island in relation to Muscat wine, enjoys wine tasting in an atmosheric venue, travels in the past in stone cellars, enjoys his wine in cool and shady pergolas against the backdrop of the Aegean Sea and the green slopes of Samos, experiencing a unique wine experience that remains unforgettable. LIKNON is expected to open its doors to the Public within July 2023
