Archaeological Museum of Pythagoreion

The Archaeological Museum of Pythagoreion is housed in a modern building on the left side of the road leading to the entrance of Pythagoreio. It started operating in 2010 and has since attracted many visitors. The Pythagoreion Museum is open to the public and offers a wealth of archaeological exhibits. The finds on display are arranged thematically and chronologically from the Neolithic period to the Paleochristian era. At the Museum you can see important finds related to the trade, use, and production of wine, such as drinking and transporting vessels, point-based amphorae, kraters, reliefs with depictions of symposia, vessel fragments with depictions related to vineyards, and other exhibits.
